I just read Ann Aguirre's Grimspace and am interested in rendaig more of her work. It was a bit rough around the edges, with too much time spent inside the protagonist's head, but the world was compelling, especially the alien rights and racism issues, mixed with the notion of cross-breeding or otherwise mixing alien and human DNA.
